Overview

The premiere of JECKOMIO took place in 2025 at the Grefrather EisSport & EventPark — as an experimental attempt to move the Kölsche party tradition to the September Lower Rhine. The acts (Peter Hoebertz, Räuber, Cat Ballou) met an enthusiastic audience, making the premiere a successful pilot project and enabling the second edition in 2026 with a larger lineup.

JECKOMIO 2025 — Premiere

The first edition of JECKOMIO in 2025 was the pilot project by organizer Peter Hoebertz to transpose the Kölsche Carnival festival tradition to September on the Lower Rhine. The venue, as in 2026, was the Grefrather EisSport & EventPark — with the unusual setting of the converted ice stadium as an indoor event hall.

Lineup 2025: the Peter Hoebertz Band as the house host, the Kölsch classic band Räuber (one of the pillars of Kölsch music since the 1970s), and Cat Ballou as a mainstream Kölsch pop band of the younger generation. The concept worked — the audience responded with enthusiasm, which enabled the second edition in 2026 with an even more attractive lineup (Kasalla instead of Cat Ballou). JECKOMIO is thus established as a September Kölsch brand on the Lower Rhine.
