Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW 2025 took place on May 31, 2025, with 12 hours of programming on the Rhine promenade and the traditional Japanese grand fireworks display as its conclusion.
The 22nd edition (2025) once again attracted several hundred thousand visitors to Düsseldorf's Rhine promenade. Cosplay, J-Pop, Taiko, culinary specialties, and the spectacular grand fireworks display around 11 PM confirmed Japan Day's status as Europe's most important Japanese cultural festival.
