The 12th edition of the Italian Film Festival Berlin took place again in November 2025 at Kino in der Kulturbrauerei. Competition films, retrospective, and supporting program followed the proven format of previous years. The festival has been establishing itself as a fixture for contemporary Italian cinema in Berlin since 2013.
The 2025 edition once again gathered an interested Berlin film audience eager to see Italian films in their original language. The selection focused on recent productions from Italian festival competitions and included several German premieres.
The venue, Kino in der Kulturbrauerei, proved once again to be the ideal festival home: central location in Prenzlauer Berg, good acoustics in the auditoriums, and an Italian-friendly foyer atmosphere.
