22nd Edition Before the Anniversary
The 22nd edition of the Irish Folk & Celtic Music Festival 2025 in the Balver Höhle followed the established format: three evenings, each with its own focus, featuring bands from Ireland, Great Britain, and Germany. In 2025, around 5,000 visitors once again enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the karst cave for folk concerts.
Since 2002, the festival has become a firm fixture in the Sauerland cultural summer. Organizer Festspiele Balver Höhle e.V. confirmed the 23rd edition for 2026 as early as autumn 2025 — with the usual mix of international headliners and local presence through Sauerland Pipes and Festspielchor.
