Overview
In 2025, the Ostbayern Mining and Industrial Museum already participated in International Museum Day with Mill Day at the glass grinding mill in Theuern. With free admission, the historic grain mill was in operation, and miller tours explained the technology of the milling mechanism.
Mill Day 2025 took place in May 2025 at the glass grinding mill in Theuern. As in previous years, the BIMO opened its doors for International Museum Day with free admission and presented the fully functional historic grain mill.
Millers in traditional costume guided visitors through the technical monument, vividly explaining how grain was ground into flour over centuries – a living piece of Upper Palatinate industrial culture for the whole family.
