In 2025, the International Christmas Market Essen also ran for around 40 days on Kennedyplatz. With its Light Crown, Flachsmarkt, and consistent sustainability concept, it is one of the most prominent Advent markets in the Ruhr area.
The 2025 edition built on its international award as Europe's most sustainable Christmas market and continued the established concept. The Light Crown, baroque carousel, and Flachsmarkt were once again the main attractions.
