Overview
The 2025 edition once again confirmed the festival's status as one of the largest beer festivals worldwide. The 2.2 km Karl-Marx-Allee was fully occupied – Berlin regulars, international beer tourists, and families mingled under the Stalinist buildings of Friedrichshain over the weekend. German brewing tradition stood alongside Belgian Trappist ales, Czech lagers, and a growing craft beer section from the USA and Japan.
PRAESENTA Ltd. organized the festival, as it has since 1997, without an entrance fee – a format that is increasingly unusual in Berlin. Payment was made exclusively at the stands, and admission remained completely free. Live music from the breweries' countries of origin played on the 18 stages – from Bavarian folk music and Czech polka brass bands to rock covers and Schlager sets.
