Overview

The 2025 edition of the Inselfest coincided with Schmöckwitz's 650th anniversary and was celebrated on July 19, 2025, as a major "650 Years of Schmöckwitz" event. A larger program, more stages, and historical accompanying events for the anniversary – an exceptional format that far exceeded the classic Inselfest framework. Organizer: Schmöckwitz local association (Ortsverein Schmöckwitz e.V.), free admission.

For its 650th anniversary, the Inselfest was expanded into a major event in 2025: an enlarged festival area around the Inselschule, multiple stages, a parade through the Schmöckwitz village center, and historical accompanying events with exhibitions on local history, involving several Berlin local associations. Residents of Schmöckwitz of all generations, as well as guests from the entire Treptow-Köpenick district, filled the village on this Saturday.

The Schmöckwitz local association (Ortsverein Schmöckwitz e.V.) used the anniversary to showcase the district and its association structures – a format that will not be repeated annually in this scale. A return to the classic, smaller Inselfest format is already planned for 2026.
