The 2025 Inselfest was still held in a reduced form while the Helgoland Tourism Service and shipping companies prepared for the comeback of the full tradition in 2026. Initial announcements and the historical Day of the Seaside Resort Service were communicated as the occasion for the revival.

Looking Back at 2025

In the summer of 2025, the Inselfest Helgoland was marked by the upcoming comeback: Initial announcements from the Helgoland Tourism Service communicated the revival of the festival in 2026 on the Day of the Seaside Resort Service. While the full festival mile had not yet taken place, market stalls, shipping partners, and the Helgoland-XXL arrival format were being prepared.

Anticipation was high within the Helgoland community and among regular guests — after all, the Inselfest is one of Northern Germany's most emotionally charged events: a maritime commitment to the island, its history, and the special connection between the people of Helgoland and their shipping companies.
