72nd edition of infa at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds – nine days of living, fashion, culinary, Christmas decorations, beauty, and wellness
The infa was founded in 1954, making it one of the oldest consumer fairs in Germany. Over its history, it has undergone numerous transformations: from the classic range of goods in the 1950s and 1960s, through the consumer boom fairs of the 1970s and 1980s, to today's experience and lifestyle fair that combines shopping, information, and entertainment. Despite all the changes, it remains the largest event of its kind in Germany and a firm fixture in Hannover's autumn event calendar.
The infa is divided into several themed worlds, each occupying its own halls or hall sections:
Accompanying show stages feature fashion shows, cooking shows, beauty demonstrations, interactive activities, and talk rounds with celebrity guests. The show stage is a central program point of each fair day.
One of infa's historical strengths is the Christmas Decorations section. With its mid-October timing, infa is one of the first major consumer destinations for purchasing Advent ornaments, Christmas baubles, fairy lights, and festive table decorations. Many exhibitors present their new products for the upcoming Christmas season.
The infa appeals to a multi-generational audience. Families, older couples, solo shoppers, young adults – every target group finds its themed world. The fair has the character of a day trip lasting several hours and is often visited in groups.
As in previous years, infa is designed as an experience and shopping fair with a strong show character. Several exhibition halls will be used simultaneously, with each themed area having its own exhibitors and atmosphere.
The mid-October date traditionally makes infa one of the first major destinations for purchasing Christmas decorations. Many exhibitors present their new products for the upcoming Advent season in this area.
