Overview

The 22nd Indian Film Festival Stuttgart 2025 took place in July, bringing together the most important current productions from the Indian subcontinent for four days in Stuttgart's city center cinemas. As every year, the organizer was Filmbüro Baden-Württemberg, which awards the German Star of India as the main prize of EUR 10,000.

22nd Edition 2025

In 2025, the Indian Film Festival Stuttgart was held for its 22nd edition. Four days of programming in the EM/CINEMA and GLORIA cinemas — feature films, documentaries, short films, and newcomer productions from all linguistic regions of India and the diaspora.

The jury awarded the German Star of India as the main prize of EUR 10,000, along with several other awards including the Documentary Film Prize and the Audience Award. Several Indian directors and actors were present as guests, gave Q&As after the films, and brought the subcontinent to Stuttgart for four days.
