Indiecon 2025 – Twelfth Edition

The twelfth Indiecon, from September 5th to 7th, 2025, once again brought together the international indie publishing scene in Oberhafen. Hundreds of creators of independent magazines, zines, newsletters, and podcasts presented their projects at the marketplace, complemented by a program of panels, workshop discussions, and hands-on sessions.

The focus in 2025 was on publishing finance in the post-print era, the rediscovery of physical magazines in the context of digital fatigue, risography as a printing aesthetic, and the question of how small publishers and self-publishers deal with algorithms, algorithm fatigue, and platform changes. The festival's indie atmosphere – personal, directly accessible, without the pomp of large publishers – was once again highlighted by the international press.
