Overview

The Wiehnachtstied 2025 once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Husum's market square. Six weeks of Advent magic around the Tine Fountain, with traditional handicrafts, maritime culinary delights, and the illuminated gabled houses of the grey town by the sea.

Review 2025

In 2025, the Husumer Wiehnachtstied was again one of the most atmospheric Christmas markets in Northern Germany. The season ran from the Sunday before the first Advent until shortly after Christmas, with only Totensonntag and Christmas Day closed, as always. Local craftspeople, restaurateurs, and maritime specialty providers shaped the scene around the Tine Fountain. Theodor Storm fans took advantage of the long opening hours for city walks in the poet's footsteps, with time in between for Pharisäer and crab rolls.
