Overview

The 2025 Husum edition of Christopher Street Day once again brought the queer community of North Friesland to the market square for a day. The demonstration procession moved from Kleikuhle into the city center, followed by a service in St. Mary's Church and a stage with music, speeches, and discussion rounds.

2025 Review

With the motto «Visibility needs courage», the CSD Husum 2025 sent a political signal at a time when queer rights were under pressure across Europe. Several hundred people marched through the city center with the demonstration procession, local initiatives, churches, and associations were represented on the market square with information booths. On the stage at the market square, singer/songwriters, a poetry slam format, and DJ sets performed, with politicians and activists from North Friesland speaking in between.
