Hunderdorfer Volksfest

The Hunderdorfer Folk and Heritage Festival 2025 coincided with the 950th anniversary of the municipality of Hunderdorf — a double occasion for a particularly festive heritage festival. From June 6th to 9th, 2025, the festival grounds transformed into a lively festival zone, with a marquee offering catering, a large amusement park, and a packed musical program attracting visitors from the entire Straubing-Bogen district.

Mayor Max Höcherl kicked off the festivities on Friday with the traditional beer tapping ceremony, followed by four days of marquee atmosphere, brass band music, live concerts, a festive church service, and a parade. The 950th anniversary gave the festival a special historical depth, with exhibitions and ceremonies dedicated to Hunderdorf's history.
