Trotting Races by the Wadden Sea
The Hooksiel Racecourse has a long tradition. Located in the middle of the Frisian coastal landscape, it is one of the northernmost venues for German trotting racing. On the race days in July, the track fills with sports fans, betting enthusiasts, families, and summer guests who appreciate the mix of sport and North German hospitality.
Three Wednesday Dates
Three race days are scheduled for July 2026: July 15, 22, and 29, all on Wednesdays. Each race day offers several trotting races over different distances, ensuring excitement and providing plenty for betting enthusiasts.
Entertainment and Regional Cuisine
Between the races, live music and entertainment provide the atmosphere. Regional specialties are served at the snack stands: Frisian herring salad, bratwurst, fries, accompanied by draught beer and coffee. The grandstands offer shelter and a view of the track.
Admission Prices and VIP Packages
Adults pay 10 Euros for admission, children are free. For 79 Euros, VIP packages are available with reserved seating, high-quality catering, and drinks – ideal for groups wanting to experience a special race day.
Hooksiel as a Location
The racecourse is located at Lange Drift 197 in Hooksiel, one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Wangerland. A combination of a beach day and a race day is highly recommended.
