The 35th edition of the Holstenköstenlauf set a record on June 13, 2025, with 3,817 participants — around 650 more than the previous year. On the 10 km distance, Julia Kümpers set a new women's course record with 35:08 minutes. The run marked the start of the "Sonnenköste" edition of the Holstenköste.

Record Edition 2025

With 3,817 registrations across all distances, the 35th Holstenköstenlauf recorded the largest number of participants in its history. Under summer conditions, athletes ran through the city center of Neumünster and the districts of Tungendorf and Brachenfeld.

Women's Course Record

On the 10 km distance, Julia Kümpers set a new women's course record with 35:08 minutes, significantly surpassing the previous best time. The SVT Neumünster also recorded participation records in the Bambini, Schüler, and Handicap competitions.

Programme

The 35th edition took place on Friday, June 13, 2025, with staggered starts between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Kleinflecken. The Bambinilauf (300 m), Schülerlauf (1.3 km), Handicap-Lauf (800 m), Holsten-Galerie-Lauf (5 km), and Bäcker-Andresen-Lauf (10 km) all started.
