The 2025 Holi Festival transformed the Horn racecourse in Hamburg into a sensual open-air venue once again. Thousands of visitors threw colour powder into the air hourly, DJs from the international electronic scene provided nine hours of continuous programming — one of the most visually striking summer festivals in the Hanseatic city.

2025 Review

In 2025, the Holi Festival followed its tried-and-tested formula: Horn racecourse as the stage, hourly Big Throws, continuous DJ programme of Electronic, Minimal, and House. Food trucks and bars ensured catering on-site. The festival maintained its status as one of Hamburg's most popular open-air formats for a young, energetic audience.

The Horn district in Hamburg-Mitte, with its racecourse, is one of the most traditional event locations in eastern Hamburg — the Holi Festival utilises the expansive infrastructure for a format that would only be possible on a few Hamburg sites of this scale.
