The Historischer Markt Oettingen 2025 took place in mid-May in the baroque Schlossstraße. A knights' tournament, over 100 craft and merchant stalls, camp life, and the evening events Night of the Fools and Night of the Minstrels with fire shows attracted numerous visitors from Southern Germany to Oettingen.

In 2025, the Historischer Markt Oettingen once again attracted numerous visitors to the historic old town in the Donau-Ries district. Knights on horseback, combat demonstrations, craftsmen at work, and authentic camp life characterized the market activities in the baroque Schlossstraße. The 'Night of the Fools' on Friday and the 'Night of the Minstrels' on Saturday with fire spectacles on several stages were among the highlights. The diverse children's program made the festival an experience for the whole family, confirming its reputation as one of Bavaria's largest medieval markets.
