Overview

The ninth Historical Christmas transformed the RAW-Gelände in Friedrichshain into a medieval Christmas market again for several weeks in autumn 2025. Carnica Spectaculi continued the established concept of craft stalls, mead taverns, archery, a wooden carousel, and fire shows. The market was closed on Totensonntag, and admission was traditionally free on Mondays.

In 2025, the Historical Christmas took place for the ninth time at the RAW-Gelände. As in previous years, around 40 to 60 craft and tavern stalls opened their doors from Monday to Sunday, focusing on historically staged handicrafts, medieval gastronomy, and a stage program featuring fire jugglers, hurdy-gurdy players, and storytelling sessions.

The admission structure – free on Mondays, €4 on weekends – and the opening hours remained stable. The market had thus established itself in Berlin's Christmas market calendar as an alternative to the more traditional city center stalls (Gendarmenmarkt, Charlottenburg Palace): smaller, more atmospheric, with a clear staging. The 2025 edition paved the way for the anniversary edition in 2026.
