Overview
The Himmelfahrtskirmes Lünen 2025 once again transformed the Theater- und Pfarrer-Bremer-Parkplatz into a four-day grand fair as usual. From Ascension Day Thursday to Sunday, carousels, bumper cars, Break Dance, and other rides offered entertainment for families and adults. The opening with an ecumenical service and free rides, as well as the traditional fireworks on the Lippe river on Family Day Friday, were also highlights in 2025.
In May 2025, the Himmelfahrtskirmes once again drew tens of thousands of visitors from Lünen and the region into the city center. A classic program featuring the opening service, free rides, a half-price Family Day with fireworks, and the full range of rides. Lünen's showmen and exhibitors from across the Ruhr area ensured the usual dense offering. The fair solidified its place as the most important folk festival in the city on the Lippe river — a must-attend event on the North Rhine-Westphalian fair calendar.
