Celtic double bill with Highland Saga and Danceperados of Ireland at Loreley
The Celtic Night is one of the established themed formats of the Loreley Open-Air Stage — an evening that celebrates Celtic music and dance traditions in a double concert. The 2026 edition brings two particularly popular acts to the World Heritage stage.
Highland Saga is an internationally touring Scottish show production that combines Highland pipes (the traditional Scottish bagpipes), Highland drums, Highland dance formations, and cinematic stage technology into a multimedia live experience. The show draws on Scottish sagas, historical battles, and Highland folklore, presenting them with dramatic staging and oversized pyrotechnics. For fans of Celtic sound, Highland Saga is a concert highlight that combines the archaic power of the pipes with a modern understanding of show.
Danceperados of Ireland are a renowned Irish folk and dance show that has been touring Europe for years. With traditional Irish music (fiddle, tin whistle, bodhrán, concertina) and sophisticated dance choreographies (Irish Step Dance, Sean Nós, Modern Irish Dance), they tell stories of Irish life and pub atmosphere. A warm, lively show that encourages the audience to clap along and occasionally dance.
The double bill is cleverly designed: both acts are Celtic-rooted but represent different traditions (Scottish vs. Irish) and different show styles (cinematic vs. traditional-warm). This creates a varied evening that showcases the full spectrum of Celtic music culture.
It starts at 7 PM, tickets from €56.45. The Loreley Open-Air Stage offers around 17,000 seats.
The 2026 concert is one of the most atmospheric themed events of the Loreley season. The combination of Scottish and Irish Celtic culture in a double bill is conceptually strong and a must-attend for folk fans from all over Germany and the Benelux countries.
The exact program for 2026 (schedule, setlists of both acts, catering during breaks if applicable) will be published by the organizer. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of similar Celtic Nights: first act from 7:00 or 7:30 PM, second act from 9:00 PM, possibly a joint final act with both ensembles.
