17th Edition 2025

In 2025, the Eichtersheim Castle Park was once again a piece of Scotland in Baden-Württemberg for three days. The 17th edition of the International Highland Games Angelbachtal gathered athletes, pipe bands, and Scotland fans from all over Europe. The Heavy Events — caber toss, stone put, hammer throw — were part of the mandatory program, along with tug-of-war and Massed Bands performances by the pipe bands.

In addition to the sports and music program, the whisky flea market attracted many enthusiasts who traded rare bottles and organized tastings. Market stalls offering Scottish specialties, whisky, tartans, and Highland goods complemented the festival weekend. The 17th edition laid the groundwork for the 18th event in 2026, which promises an expanded program.
