Overview

The 26th Hermsdorfer Straßenfest on the second weekend of September 2025 continued the tradition established in 1993. The historic Alte Regensburger Straße became an open festival mile on Open Monument Day with folklore, country, Dixieland, street music, and crafts. The Saturday evening dance in the inn's courtyard remained a crowd-puller.

2025 Review

The 26th edition confirmed the Hermsdorfer Straßenfest as a reliable tradition in East Thuringia. The inns Zum schwarzen Bär and Zur Linde once again formed the festival setting, and the clubs and craftspeople showcased their skills. Several thousand guests from Hermsdorf, the Saale-Holzland district, and the region around Jena/Gera took the opportunity to stroll through the historic main street.
