Overview

In 2025, the Franconian Open-Air Museum Bad Windsheim also invited visitors to its Autumn Festival on a September weekend. Harvest work, apple juice pressing, steamed potatoes, and historic crafts brought the agricultural harvest season vividly to life for visitors.

The 2025 Autumn Festival continued the long-standing tradition of the harvest festival at the Franconian Open-Air Museum. On a weekend in September, participants worked in the fields and farmyards as they did in grandma's time.

Freshly pressed apple juice, steamed potatoes, the oil mill in operation, and historic crafts in the workshops characterized the festival. The harvest parade across the museum grounds was a regular highlight on both days, vividly conveying Franconian rural life.
