Traditional club festival of the FFW Gerbrunn at the fire station at the end of the summer holidays
The Herbstfest of the Gerbrunn Volunteer Fire Brigade is the annual club festival of the FFW club, traditionally held on the last weekend of the Bavarian summer holidays. The venue is the fire station at Sieboldstraße 23 in the Lower Franconian municipality of Gerbrunn (Würzburg district, Bavaria). The organiser is the FFW Gerbrunn, whose club organises the festival.
The concept is that of a classic Franconian club festival: hot and cold food (sausages from the grill, Schäuferla, Würzburg specialities, salads, cakes), outdoor catering around the fire station, a bouncy castle for the children, a display of fire brigade equipment with operational vehicles and technology, as well as a Sunday afternoon café with coffee and homemade cake.
The Herbstfest is more than just a club festival – it is a meeting point for the Gerbrunn village community. Citizens from Gerbrunn and the neighbouring municipalities come together at the end of the summer holidays to celebrate the end of summer, foster club life, and support the FFW.
Gerbrunn is a municipality with around 6,000 inhabitants in the Würzburg district (Lower Franconia, Bavaria), located on the eastern city limits of Würzburg. The municipality benefits from its proximity to the Lower Franconian district capital while maintaining its own distinct club life, in which the FFW plays a central role.
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, the FFW Gerbrunn invites you to the Herbstfest. The festival runs all day and combines a club festival, family day, and end-of-summer-holidays gathering for the Gerbrunn village community.
With a bouncy castle for children, a display of operational vehicles and fire brigade equipment, and a Sunday café with homemade cakes, the festival offers a classic club festival programme – proceeds go to the work of the fire brigade club.
