The 461st edition of the Heiratsmarkt Kaltennordheim took place at Pentecost 2025. Five days of folk festival at the castle courtyard with amusement rides, festival tent, live music, parade on Whit Monday, and fireworks. Over 100 traders and showmen, a classic Pentecost festival in the Rhön.
Heiratsmarkt 2025 — 461st Edition
In May/June 2025, the Heiratsmarkt Kaltennordheim opened for its 461st edition. Over the Pentecost holidays, thousands of visitors from the Rhön, Southern Thuringia, and Northern Hesse flocked to the market town. Festival grounds at the castle courtyard, amusement rides, festival tent with live music, parade on Whit Monday, and grand fireworks as the highlight — the tradition from the 16th century remained alive in the 21st century.
