Overview

The Heimspiel Festival Weißenburg 2025 took place in May 2025 at the Bergwaldtheater. Three days of festival with around 20 bands on two stages covering rock, indie, pop, and crossover, complemented by camping at the outdoor pool grounds and a free shuttle from the Kirchweihplatz.

The 2025 edition continued the established festival concept: a three-day open-air festival in the quarry amphitheater of the Bergwaldtheater with two stages, a broad genre spectrum, and a family atmosphere. The festival has established itself as a fixture in the Central Franconian festival scene.

A Stage with History

The Bergwaldtheater Weißenburg, established in the early 20th century in a disused quarry, has been considered one of Bavaria's most beautiful open-air stages for decades – and with the Heimspiel Festival, it's a firm fixture on the Bavarian festival calendar.
