Overview
The 2025 edition followed the established three-day structure: opening on Friday, main program on Saturday, parade and closing on Sunday. Costume groups from all over Lower Lusatia and international folklore groups shaped the stage program. The parade again featured over 1,000 costume wearers, floats, and brass bands marching through Burg — a scene that underscores the Spreewald as a core center of Wendish-Sorbian tradition.
The festival is one of the largest and oldest home festivals in the state of Brandenburg and a highlight in the tourism calendar of the Spree-Neiße district.
