Overview

The Vogelsrath Schützenfest 2025 was held as usual around Ascension Day by the St. Josef-Schützenbruderschaft 1821. Bird shooting, crowning of the majesties, parade through Vogelsrath, and Grand Tattoo marked the festival weekend.

The 2025 Schützenfest of the St. Josef-Schützenbruderschaft 1821 Vogelsrath e.V. took place as is traditional around Ascension Day 2025 in Schwalmtal-Vogelsrath. The brotherhood's festival was a clear statement for cohesion and local pride in the village community.

The program followed the proven format: festive reception of guest brotherhoods on Thursday, morning pint and laying of wreaths on Friday, bird shooting and crowning on Saturday, parade and Grand Tattoo on Sunday. The festival tent at the Vogelsrath festival grounds was well-attended over the four days — club members, guest brotherhoods from Schwalmtal, the Viersen district, and the neighboring Netherlands met for the classic Lower Rhine Schützenfest tradition. A silent remembrance at the war memorial and a convivial village evening provided the conclusion.
