2025 Edition — 20th Anniversary

Twenty years of the Heidelberger Frühling String Quartet Festival: The 2025 anniversary edition once again brought together the international quartet elite at the Alte Pädagogische Hochschule. Four days of highly concentrated chamber music, a dense program with an opening concert, matinees, afternoon concerts, and evening concerts, plus workshops and concert talks. The festival has established itself since 2006 as one of Europe's most important quartet formats — and the 2025 anniversary underscored this position. Artistic director Thorsten Schmidt and the Heidelberger Frühling team curated a program that set the tone for the German chamber music landscape.
