Heidelberger Frühling Liedfestival — Edition 2025

The Heidelberger Frühling Liedfestival 2025 built on the success of its first three editions, consolidating the festival as one of Europe's most important platforms for Lied art. In Heidelberg's Stadthalle, the Alte Aula of the University, and smaller venues in the Old Town, international singers performed alongside their regular piano partners. The festival also offered masterclasses for young singers and workshop concerts, providing a behind-the-scenes look at Lied interpretation. The program ranged from the classical repertoire (Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Wolf, Mahler) to songs from French, English, and Nordic traditions. Heidelberg once again proved itself to be the ideal festival city – intimate, with a long classical tradition.
