Heide Park Resort — Season Opening and Easter Weekend

Season Start 2026

Heide Park Resort, one of Germany's largest theme parks, is launching its 48th season in 2026. The official season start date is Saturday, March 28th, 2026. In advance, there will be an "Anticipation Sunday" on March 22nd with a limited offering and discounted admission for season ticket holders. The season runs until October 31st, 2026.

25 Years of Colossos

The highlight of the 2026 season is the 25th birthday of Colossos, the wooden roller coaster that has been considered the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster in Europe since 2001. With a maximum height of 60 meters, a track length of 1,344 meters, and speeds of up to 120 km/h, Colossos is a flagship ride of the park. Special promotions, merchandise, and birthday offers are planned for the anniversary.

New Children's Show “Aye Aye Käpt'n!”

The new children's show “Aye Aye Käpt'n!” is being launched specifically for families with young children. The show is aimed at children aged 3 to 8 and playfully introduces them to the world of pirates. At the end, children receive a pirate diploma as a souvenir. The performance lasts about 25 minutes and is included in the regular day admission.

Easter Weekend with Brunch

The Easter weekend is an established event in the Heide Park program. From Good Friday to Easter Monday (April 3rd to 6th, 2026), the park will be decorated with Easter themes, featuring Easter bunny mascots and egg hunt activities for children. On Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, an Easter brunch will also be served in the park restaurants – a lavish buffet to kick off the season. Seats are limited, reservations recommended.

May 14th: Pirate Festival Opening

On May 14th, 2026, Ascension Day, the park's new Pirate Festival will open. This themed expansion follows the park's tradition of creating distinct themed areas, each forming its own universe. Details about the Pirate Festival will be communicated by the park in due course.

Getting There and Tips

Heide Park Resort is located on the western outskirts of Soltau, about 80 kilometers south of Hamburg and 80 kilometers north of Hanover. Access is via the A7 motorway (exit Soltau-Süd or Soltau-Ost). Large parking lots are available at the park. Those wishing to stay overnight can find accommodation at the Heide Park Hotel or the neighboring Heide Park Holiday Camp.
