2025 — Preparation and Conception Phase

The HavelMan Triathlon as a competition only exists from 2026 onwards — the inaugural edition takes place on June 6, 2026. The year 2025 was crucial for the concept: Havelsport Brandenburg e.V., under the chairmanship of Stefan Taube, developed the format with three distances (Kids, Sprint, Olympic) in collaboration with the city of Brandenburg an der Havel and the administration of the Beetzsee Regatta Course, securing the necessary permits, course design, and sponsorships.

The Beetzsee Regatta Course, an internationally renowned watersports facility, hosted several rowing and canoe competitions during the 2025 regatta season — a record year for the venue. These successes laid the groundwork for the city to add the HavelMan Triathlon as a new major sporting event in 2026.

Anyone wanting to participate in a triathlon in Brandenburg an der Havel in 2025 had to look for other events in the region — the HavelMan marks a true premiere.
