The Havelkarawane 2025 opened the Brandenburger Havelsommer with its distinctive water-music format. 65 musicians on everything that floats graced the Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. Thousands of Brandenburg and Berlin day-trippers followed the spectacle from the bridges and banks.

In 2025, the unusual format once again proved successful: the combination of urban identity (water), musicality (acoustic diversity), and open-air festival spirit. The Havelkarawane is one of the few festivals that deliberately utilizes a city's waterway heritage — thereby creating a unique tourist and artistic selling point.

The opening of the Havelsommer has been the unofficial start of the Brandenburg festival season for years. Those who have experienced the spectacle of the caravan once tend to return regularly during the summer — the multi-week Havelsommer program has its loyal following.
