Overview

The 39th Haspa Marathon Hamburg took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025. As every year, the course led through the harbour, Elbchaussee, Landungsbrücken, and Alster, with the start at Karolinenstraße and the finish at the TV Tower/CCH. With over 35,000 runners, it was one of Europe's largest marathons.

39th Haspa Marathon Hamburg 2025

On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Hamburg held its 39th marathon. The course, as always, led from the start at Karolinenstraße via St. Pauli, the Reeperbahn, the Elbchaussee, back to the Landungsbrücken, through HafenCity, along the Binnen- and Außenalster lakes to the finish at the TV Tower.

Over 35,000 female and male runners from around the world participated. The marathon was, as always, primarily sponsored by Hamburger Sparkasse (Haspa). The Marathon Expo took place on Friday and Saturday at the exhibition center. Aid stations, pacemakers, and live music along the course characterized the day.
