Edition 2025 — 1050 Years Cathedral Choir

In 2025, the Regensburg Cathedral Choir prepared for its grand 1050th anniversary in 2026. The world-famous boys' choir continued its centuries-old tradition with concerts, church music, and performances, tuning into the festive year.

The year 2025 was dedicated by the Regensburg Cathedral Choir to preparations for the 1050th anniversary in 2026. The choir, with its history dating back to 975, continued its extensive concert and liturgical activities.

The anniversary gala "Happy Birthday, Spatz!" is a unique event for the 1050th birthday and thus has no direct predecessor format. However, the continuous musical work of the Cathedral Choir in 2025 formed the artistic basis for the grand anniversary year of 2026.
