Overview

The premiere of the newly established Derby under Schafhof Connects took place in Klein Flottbek in 2025. Tournament director Matthias Alexander Rath spoke afterwards of a "very special experience." Top performances in show jumping and dressage, great audience response, and a successful revival of the traditional format.

The 2025 edition was the first under the new organizer Schafhof Connects. Tournament director Matthias Alexander Rath took over the traditional format, held in Klein Flottbek since 1920, and carefully modernized the concept.

The Show Jumping Derby on Sunday — with Pulvermann's Grave as the central obstacle — saw top-class rounds and an enthusiastic audience. The Dressage Derby with horse swap also confirmed its unique selling proposition in international equestrian sport. The Derby Park in Klein Flottbek was well-attended on all five days; Hamburg residents embraced the traditional equestrian weekend with great enthusiasm once again.
