Overview

The 2025 Domweihnacht started on November 28th and ran until shortly before Christmas. Halberstadt's old town presented itself with three focal points: Domplatz (Domweihnacht), Marktplatz (classic market), and Holzmarkt (gastronomy). The carousel organ and the 1929 children's railway were once again among the crowd favorites.

From November 28th until shortly before Christmas Eve 2025, Halberstadt's city center opened its Advent gates. At the Domweihnacht between the Church of Our Lady and the Cathedral, the medieval flair dominated with wooden huts, fire pits, and nostalgic lighting. The market square presented the classic Christmas market with a Ferris wheel and Advent stalls, while the Holzmarkt was the gastronomic hub.
