Overview

The 2025 Halberstadt Cathedral Festival was themed "Hour Zero — After the Storm" and reflected, through music, dance, and staged performances, the experience of new beginnings after war, crisis, and destruction. Halberstadt was almost 80% destroyed on April 8, 1945.

The 2025 festival edition combined dance productions, choral vespers, and a symphony concert. The historical context of the city—Halberstadt after the bombing raids of April 1945—was reflected in the program. A visit to the Cathedral Treasury, focusing on the medieval period, complemented the musical formats.
