Wilhelmsburg Under Power
The Habitat Festival is one of the most intense rave weekends on the North German summer calendar. The venue is the grounds at Alte Schleuse 23 in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg, in the Hamburg-Mitte district and on Europe's largest inhabited river island. Here, where MS Artville usually takes place, Habitat turns up the volume for 32 hours straight.
Line-up Between International Headliner Level and Underground
The musical concept is clearly focused: hard, precise Techno, Electro, and House. Confirmed for 2026 are, among others, KI/KI, Alarico, DJ Gigola, Goldy.mp3, Interplanetary Criminal, Narciss, Nastia, Mischluft, Sama' Abdulhadi, and Yanamaste – complemented by other acts yet to be announced.
Industrial Charm Instead of Festival Meadow
Habitat deliberately distinguishes itself from the large open-air festivals in the Hamburg hinterland. Wilhelmsburg's industrial architecture, old sheds, brick halls, and waterfronts form the backdrop – no glitter setup, but pure Hamburg harbor edge. The fitting audience comes from Hamburg, Berlin, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam and celebrates through a weekend.
One Island, One Rave
Wilhelmsburg is excellently accessible via S-Bahn and bridges, but has its own, almost independent sound within Hamburg. Habitat uses this – the festival is both a district statement and an underground declaration of love.
