Overview

The Güglinger Maienfest 2025 took place over the Whitsun weekend, confirming the unbroken tradition since 1938. Again, barrel tapping, dance evenings, Weißwurst breakfast on Whit Sunday, and the grand parade on Whit Monday. The town of Güglingen and local associations organized the four-day festival in its established form — one of the most important Volksfests in the western Heilbronn district.

87th Edition 2025

The 2025 edition proceeded as planned over Whitsun. The motto of the 2025 parade was again creatively implemented by the associations — floats, traditional costume groups, and school classes characterized the Whit Monday procession. The bands ensured full tents on the dance evenings, and the senior citizens' afternoon provided the 65+ generation with coffee, cake, and music.

With the Maienfest, Güglingen has demonstrated for almost 90 years how a Whitsun festival can shape a small town: preparations take months, associations organize themselves, and citizens work together. The result is a festival that is not touristy but rather village-like and urban — a mix that is often lost in larger cities.
