Overview

The Günzburg Old Town Christmas Market 2025 was celebrated in early December in the Dossenbergerhof. For five days, the historic courtyard offered handmade gifts, regional specialties, and a stage program with brass bands and choirs from the Günzburg district. The St. Nicholas market on December 5th, as every year, attracted a large number of families.

In 2025, the market was again one of the most important Advent events in Bavarian Danube region—characterized by its unusual format with stalls run predominantly by clubs and schools. This distinguishes the Günzburg Old Town Christmas Market from commercial Christmas markets and preserves its community character.

The stage program changed over the five days—from the brass band of the Stadtkapelle Günzburg to school choirs and Swabian singing groups to regional bands. In cool weather, the mulled wine stalls of the local clubs warmed the visitors.
