Overview
In 2025, the Grünewalder Adventstraum once again attracted thousands of visitors to Solingen-Gräfrath over three to four Advent weekends. Schloss Grünewald, around 100 exhibitors, Flammkuchen, suckling pig, mulled wine, and 1,500 meters of fairy lights made the market once again one of the most atmospheric Christmas destinations between Cologne and Düsseldorf — families, couples, and gourmets came from all over the Bergisches Land.
The 20th edition of the Adventstraum in 2025 continued the proven concept: curated exhibitor selection, upscale culinary offerings beyond the mass market, and a consistent light installation across the castle grounds. Families made use of the Wishing Star Fairy and gingerbread house crafting, while adults enjoyed the mulled wine between the pavilions. The shuttle service from Dyckerfeld reported good frequency, especially on weekends — an indication that the market has reached its audience.
