Grundton D – Benefit Concert Schelfkirche Schwerin — Edition 2025

"Grundton D" is an established concert series by Deutschlandfunk and the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz, which combines classical music with monument preservation. Benefit concerts are held at threatened or renovation-needing architectural monuments throughout Germany, with the proceeds benefiting the preservation of the respective buildings. The series thus draws attention to the ongoing task of monument preservation and at the same time gives classical music lovers the opportunity to experience high-calibre chamber music in special venues. With the concert in Schwerin's Schelfkirche in 2026, an 18th-century neo-baroque sacred building will be the focus of the series.
