Overview

The 7th Grommbeermarkt Wustweiler took place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the festival grounds in front of the Seelbachhalle. The Heimat- und Verkehrsverein, together with the Spreitzer family and the Wustweiler clubs, had put together a diverse program centered around the potato.

The 7th edition of the Wustweiler Grommbeermarkt attracted visitors from all over the Illtal. The market was opened by Mayor Andreas Hübgen and local mayor Michael Oswald, accompanied by the Potato Prince and Princess and the hunting horn players, along with a traditional keg tapping ceremony.

Throughout the day, the Wustweiler clubs served their classics: Grommbeerkichelscher, Eierschmeer from Matthias's chickens, Grommbeer-Roschdworschd, Lyonerpfanne, Grommbeersopp, and other potato creations. The kindergarten support association provided coffee and cake, while a bouncy castle offered fun for the youngest visitors.
