Overview

The Greifswald Christmas Market 2025 ran from late November until shortly before Christmas Eve on the market square and fish market. Around 35 exhibitors, a 16-meter fir tree, a fairy tale forest, a historic carousel, and the Advent church once again characterized the Advent season in the Hanseatic city.

In 2025, the market square and fish market once again opened from late November until shortly before Christmas for the Greifswald Christmas Market. Around 35 stalls offered arts and crafts, mulled wine, gingerbread, and regional specialties under a 16-meter-high, festively decorated fir tree.

As in previous years, the wooden Advent church of the Greifswald Chapel Community was at the heart of the market — daily from 3 PM to 6 PM with devotions, Advent concerts, and readings. On the fish market, a fairy tale forest, a historic carousel, and a Ferris wheel delighted the youngest visitors.
