100 Years Grasleben Leisure Pool

The Grasleben Leisure Pool was founded in 1926 and celebrates its centenary in 2026. For over a century, the pool has taught generations of Grasleben residents and the municipality's inhabitants to swim, provided leisure time by the water, and served as a social meeting point. The 100-year celebration honours this extraordinary tradition.

Season Opening May 23, 2026

The anniversary celebration also marks the official opening of the 2026 season. Between 12 PM and 4 PM, the pool will transform into a festival ground. The mayor and representatives of the municipality of Grasleben will open the new swimming season with a festive address, and a look back at 100 years of swimming history will be commemorated.

Program for the 100-Year Celebration

Various program items are expected as part of the anniversary celebration: a festive opening, possibly swimming or synchronized swimming demonstrations by the local swimming club, a family program with water games for children, a historical photo exhibition of the pool, catering by the poolside, and musical accompaniment.

Leisure Pool as a Social Space

With an early closing time of 4 PM, the celebration is family-oriented. Families with children can spend the afternoon at the pool, the youngest visitors can gain their first swimming experiences, and older generations can reminisce about their own pool memories.
