Overview
In 2025, the Granitweihnacht once again invited visitors to the former granite quarry of the Granitzentrum Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest Granite Centre) on Advent weekends. Light installations, arts and crafts from the Dreiflüsseregion (Three Rivers Region), and an atmospheric programme made the market once again one of Bavaria's most unusual Christmas markets.
The 2025 Granitweihnacht took place, as usual, on the four Advent weekends, from Thursday to Sunday, in the former quarry at the Granitzentrum Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest Granite Centre).
Stalls between the rock formations, light installations on water and rock, demonstrations by glassblowers and woodcarvers, and a programme of barrel organ music, quartets, and brass bands once again characterised the special atmosphere of the market in the "Stoabruch" (stone quarry).
