Overview

The Grüffelo Fest 2025 took place as part of the Easter program on the island of Föhr, bringing the Gruffalo to his youngest fans in the Wrixumer Forst. With the Wyker children's folk dance group, catering, and a family walk on the Grüffelo Trail, the format remained true to the proven scheme.

The 2025 edition followed the annual tradition of Föhr's Easter program. Families from Northern Germany and the southern mainland used the Easter date for a day trip to the island — and for the family program in the Wrixumer Forst.

In the district of Nordfriesland, such family festivals are among the programs with which island tourism agencies make spring attractive for younger guests. The Grüffelo Trail itself is accessible year-round — the Grüffelo Fest is the annual highlight of the program centered around the popular children's book character.
